Illustration Concentration was what we called the Illustration track of the BFA in Communication Design at Kutztown University of PA. As of 2020, concentrations are eliminated and I have retired. K.U. no longer has an illustration program, per se, but a degree in Communication Design can be a good start for an illustrator.
This blog has had over 250,000 views, – a quarter of a million visits, since I started it in 2010. There are over 100 posts about various aspects of illustration, so I will keep the site up for now. Unless otherwise noted, blog entries are by me, Kevin McCloskey. Info about me, my books and school visits are on my personal website, heymccloskey.com
Book Reviews: Occasionally, I review books. Some books are provided by the publishers; others I buy. I try not to let free books influence reviews, but to review only those titles I find worthwhile. Publishers of graphic novels and illustration-related books are welcome to send review copies. I promise they will not be resold.
All image copyrights retained by the original artists. K.U. grads with illustration news, please do get in touch!
